Secondary School’s Extensive Washroom Facilities Upgrade

Client: Barr’s Hill School, Coventry
Sector: Education
Scope: Comprehensive Washroom Refurbishment
Value:
£200,000

Overview: Established in 1908, Barr’s Hill School has undergone various transformations over the decades. Despite these changes, the existing washroom facilities had become inadequate to meet the needs of the current student population. FPM was engaged to undertake a comprehensive upgrade to modernise these facilities.

Details:

  • Assessment: An initial evaluation identified that the washrooms were outdated and did not align with contemporary standards for functionality and aesthetics.
  • Design and Planning: FPM  developed a refurbishment plan focusing on enhancing usability, accessibility, and visual appeal.
  • Implementation: The project involved a complete overhaul of seven existing washroom facilities, repurposing space to create an accessible toilet, and renovating an additional girls’ washroom.

Outcome: The upgraded washrooms now provide a modern, hygienic, and welcoming environment for students and staff, aligning with current educational recommendations and promoting a positive atmosphere within the school.

Testimonial:FPM contractors have worked seamlessly with the school to ensure significant toilet remodelling/refurbing works have been completed without any interruption to student learning or school staff working. This partnered with clear lines of communication throughout the programme ensured planned works were completed on time and to a high standard. We would thoroughly recommend this company and thank them for the professionalism, engagement with the school and detailed focus on site health and safety while working with us.”
