Improving Access, Safeguarding – Whatever the reason to improve your school washrooms, we can help.

There are number of factors that drive our clients to upgrade their toilet facilities and a couple of our recent projects are testament to that.

Improving access – we recently created a new set of staff toilets at a school in the Midlands by reconfiguring a corridor. We removed the dog-leg bend from a busy corridor, making access wider for wheelchair users and safer for pupils and staff. A particular important issue during these challenging times.

Safeguarding – a nursery school needed to find a solution to improving its washroom facilities in a way that would encourage children to toilet themselves independently, but without staff having to be constantly on patrol. We designed a scheme that replaced one of the walls in the sink area with  glass. This allowed teachers to monitor the washrooms without having to leave the classroom.

Children could visit the washroom independently and maintain the privacy they needed but could be also monitored outside of the cubicles as part of the nursery school’s safeguarding remit.
