School Pool

FPM was recently successful in their bid for the swimming pool project at Sherbourne Fields School. The school is an all age special school for pupils with a broad spectrum of needs including physical disabilities, medical conditions and learning needs.

Awarded the contract in April, works commenced on site in the middle of the month. The project sees the existing swimming pool hall and plant room being completely stripped out.

Structural works are to be undertaken with the creation of a new opening in the rear external wall to house a new bi fold door to give added light to the pool hall, as well as the installation of a 15 metre beam running over the pool to accommodate a new hoist to enable easier access / egress for children in and out of the pool. Other fabric works will see new windows and the interior of the swimming pool hall being furnished with a new ceiling, wall and floor tiles and pool liner.

FPM’s M and E division has been charged with replacing the main air handling unit and all ductwork along with the modernisation of all lighting to the pool area.
