We pride ourselves on delivering work to the highest standard and making sure that all work is carried out to the highest quality.
All work carried out on schools requires a 12 month defects liability period review of the works. We enjoy carrying out these reviews as it is rewarding to see the difference our work has made to a school 12 months on.
Keresley Newland Primary Academy, which is part of The Futures Trust, is an example of this.
We returned to the site to carry out a 12 month defects liability period review, which involved a walk around the site with Nigel Broom, The Futures Trust Estates Technical Manager. Nigel had already discussed with the headteacher on whether there were any issues or concerns, and none were raised.
The work we had carried out in 2019 involved replacing the worn out and perished timber cladding on the school’s main buildings with insulated cladding.
The buildings were designed for a 30- year life cycle and a renovation was 10 years overdue. We created a more productive learning environment.
The project was funded by money awarded from the School Building Regeneration Fund, a Government scheme to help schools maintain their school buildings without having to use up budget set aside to cover day to day operating costs.
A full inspection was carried out and a couple of minor issues were identified which were easily fixed.
“I would like to pass on my praise for the contractors that have worked at Keresley Newland, they have been very courteous and responded well to all requests we have asked for and it has been a pleasure having them on site.”
Sharon Jeromson, Commerce and Risk Manager
